In J.
D. Jenkins' new release from Christian self-publisher
Xulon Press, God, It Just Isn't Fair!
(paperback) Ben Chambers embarks on an emotional journey
after the recent loss of his best friend in a tragic
accident and is torn between grief, anger, and even the
possibility of losing his faith. This book encompasses the
rollercoaster ride of emotions, the struggles and the
inner battles of maintaining one's faith in the face of
adversity. It stresses that life and the good contained
therein are far larger and more wonderful than just the
here and now, and that God is always willing to shower us
with His love.
Says
Jenkins, "It is my hope that people will feel they know
the characters and that they can relate to what is going
on in their lives.
I
believe that my readers will be able to personally feel
the emotions, visualize and experience the world as it
unfolds in the pages of the book and rejoice with its
characters in the end. Perhaps, some people may even find
that they will be able to let go of some of their own
burdens and pains and let God's healing love begin to
brighten their lives once more.
A union
carpenter Sunday school teacher who is active in his
church and community, Jenkins says that times are hard and
people are crying out for help in many ways. The author
was once at a similar place in his life, but he says, "I
have known both good times and bad, I have loved and lost,
my faith has been put to the test, and I am still here,
loving God." He believes that if the principles within his
book are implemented, they still stand as a testimony to
show we can dream big.
